The Phoenix Project of Marin launched as a response to a 2009 surge in crime among dramatically underserved young men in Marin City. Phoenix started to help these young men develop essential work and life skills necessary to chart paths out of poverty toward self-sufficiency. Phoenix is a truly unique public private partnership, with Probation being a major funder, bringing together resources from a wide variety of partnering public agencies (the Marin Housing Authority, the Probation Department, Public Defender’s Office, District Attorney’s Office, the Sheriff Department, etc.), and non-profits such as the Community Development Corporation, Family Service Agency, the Conservation Corps North Bay and Goodwill in programming across the years.

Attached is the Phoenix Project Collaborative Impact Summary Report for July 2018 to June 2020.
